In 1987, Rick started helping his cousin who was a DJ at the time, to learn how to segue music in preparation for radio college. He was hit by the bug, and in 1988 started DJ’ing on his own for friends and family in the beginning. As word caught on, he was DJ’ing weddings in the Kingston, Napanee and Belleville areas, using the DJ name Music Master. By 1999, the public caught on. Business was booming, and the name was changed to Rick Harrington DJ Services. Rick went on to graduate radio college in Belleville, with the primary focus being in production and public speaking.
From 1999 to 2007, Rick was DJ’ing weddings, anniversaries, school graduation parties and more. In 2008, Rick moved to Alberta for work and continued DJ’ing in Alberta and Saskatchewan, learning about different music expectations in different parts of Canada.
At this time, Rick upgraded equipment to include lights for the dance floor, and changed from CD to digital, to meet the expectations of weddings, anniversaries and more in today’s technological landscape. He moved back home to Ontario in 2012 and by that time, Rick was asked to DJ in Belleville, Kingston, Oshawa, Toronto, Perth, Ottawa and other cities in Eastern Ontario.
In recent years, Rick has used the name Rick Harrington DJ “Services” literally, and has expanded to include more modern lights for the dance floor, a projector for videos, extra equipment to set up at ceremony & reception sites in advance at functions, so there’s no delay at the function, and other upgrades to keep all functions running smoothly.
Rick continues to be a popular and professional disc jockey in various parts of Ontario, and takes pride in his attention to detail, transparent communication with clients, and working closely with other vendors to help with maximum exposure for all, to help make each function a success.

Planning a corporate meeting? Have Rick Harrington DJ Services set up speakers with up to three cordless mics, and projector rental with sound.
Bringing you own projector? No problem! We’ll supply the audio cables and help set everything up with you.
Corporate Audio/Video Setup

Have a full audio system set up for corporate events before the team arrives. Includes the mixer, two speakers, and one cordless mic. Projector is available separately, but if you have your own, we’ll help you set it up.
